HTC just released a Bluetooth security hotfix for HTC Touch Diamond/Touch Pro/Touch HD; This hotfix can enhance the security mechanisms of the Bluetooth service according to HTC. We hope it can resolve this Security vulnerability we posted a few days back. Since this is only a HOTFIX you will need to re-apply it after a ROM Upgrade or Hard Reset.

Installation of the HOTFIX is simple just download BLA_S00279.exe to your device and run it. It will Soft Reset your device after installation.

Fuze Mobility had an interesting post today. Apparently not all WM6.5 uses a the games API ( GAPI ) according to Windows Mobile Team blog and there in lies the problem. Now the good news thanks to aceviper2 we have a solution to this problem. All you need is to install the attached cab and almost all games that you could run on Windows Mobile 5 / 6 / 6.1 will work on WM6.5

The Games API (GAPI) was a technology that allowed Windows Mobile 2003 applications to quickly draw graphics onto the device screen. It also contained functions that allowed an application to request all button press messages, even the ones that were normally intercepted by the Windows Mobile operating system. The graphics component of GAPI was replaced by DirectDraw (which allowed hardware acceleration) in Windows Mobile 5.0. Application compatibility was maintained so that older programs would still work.

HTC seems have become serious about providing Hotfixes to some of its newly introduced devices like Touch Diamond 2. There have been certain bugs which have been quite annoying, like :  removing the start recording function during a voice call for HTC Touch Diamond2.

For many of those freshers its not always to possible to get any third party support for any problem they face of such new devices, thus support from the OEM(original equipment manufacturer) would be a great help.
