QuickText is another groups SMS app for Windows Phone 7 devices. Since the ability to create groups is absent on WP7 this app helps to set up predefined groups so that you can quickly sent out updates to multiple friends / colleagues at once. Press release below

QuickText is a Windows Phone 7 application that lets you quickly send pre-defined group text messages – within 3 taps!

The main feature of QuickText is SPEED. It loads quickly and the user can navigate through the app quickly. Once groups and messages have been configured, it only takes 3 taps to get a group text message ready to send. Load app, select the group, select the message, hit send, and you’re done.

You can define Groups (a collection of Contacts), Messages, and Group-specific Messages. Contact information can be imported from your phone’s people hub, or entered manually.

Future versions will have support for Message Variables such as the current date/time, gps location, etc.

Group SMS solves this with a finger friendly interface where you can create, edit and assign members to groups. All the groups are stored as Categories in Outlook so they are synchronized between devices and your desktop if you are running Exchange/myPhone.

This little pocket pc freeware is gonna make your life a lot easier. Say hello to Group SMS. It can be started from the Start menu or by the right menu in the messaging application. The application reads the categories from the Pocket Outlook database. If you own a Smartphone, you have to create the categories in Outlook and sync them to your device.
