GVV 0.6.2 – Google Visual Voicemail for windows phone

Google Visual Voicemail is a semi-offline client for Google voice. You can view and play your voice messages as well as mark them read/unread and delete them. When updating, message text is downloaded to a local cache that can be viewed at any time. Audio is downloaded the first time you click play and is stored for future use. You must update manually by going to menu->update. Automatic voice mail checking is being worked on, keep an eye on the NEW section.

Instructions:
1. Install cab.
2. On first launch you’ll get a “could not log in” error. Click ok, click menu and click settings.
3. For username, enter your full gmail address (ie. you@gmail.com) and for password your password.
4. Also enter your phone number and update interval.
5. Click save (click ok on the popup) then click cancel.
6. Click menu and click update.
7. On the first run it’ll probably complain about a missing file, click ok.

Google Voice Easy SMS 2.0 – new version that works

Google Voice Easy SMS 2.0 is now out, this windows mobile application allows users to text messaging (SMS) via your Google Voice account. It can pull the contact info from the phone’s contacts list. The app needs a data connection.

Important Installation Note:
Once you have downloaded and installed Easy SMS, you’ll need to enter your Google Account information by going to ‘Menu’ -> ‘Settings’ -> ‘Google Account Settings’. Fill in the info, then do ‘Menu’ -> ‘Check for Messages’.

* Pretty much everything is new!
* Easy SMS is now a full suite application. You can both send and receive Google Voice SMS through it for FREE.
* All bugs with the old 1.x series have been fixed.

With all the public invites going out to Google Voice users lately, AssassinsLament has decided to make a Google Voice dialer for Windows mobile. Keep in mind Google hasn’t released an official Google Voice dialer for Windows Mobile yet, so gVo could be your best option.

WMPowerUser.com has uncovered a feedback page for Google voice where you can register your interest for a Google Voice Application on various mobile platform, so if you need a Windows Mobile app from Google for Google Voice then get voting. We have no idea if Google actually looks @ this but its worth a try..
