For the rest of us, who don’t have a shiny iPhone nor a modern phone with integrated accelerometer, but are instead forced to use a Windows Mobile Phone, there is finally a way to lightsaber-duell your arch enemies with this new hobby project of mine, which now available for the PocketPC platform. Inspired by the iPhone app “Lightsaber Unleashed” which is availlable on iTunes, this version doesn’t require an accelerometer, but instead lets you use your screen or your input keys. I think its only QVGA for now.

Requirements:
Windows Mobile 5.x and up, as well as the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5

Instructions:
After installing, you find the app in the game folder of your start menu. To turn on the saber, just touch it and it will activate. Now you can use the hardware cursor buttons on your pda/phone or the the swing- and hit buttons on your screen. You can even turn on some background music. As a bonus, the “enter” key on your device will make some laser sounds

Spoofapp.com has released a spoof app client for Windows Mobile. Its available for VGA and QVGA devices. This app has not been tested by us. Plz do let us know if this works for you.. the app is free to download but requires you to buy credits for usage.

Ever wanted to make spoof calls on your Windows Mobile ? If you live in the US you might be in luck. BluffMyCall.com has put up a client for Windows Mobile. The app is free to download , but you got to buy credits to use the app. It allows you to make a free two minute calls to any phone number and allows you to put a fake number on the caller id. The free version also doesn’t not allow recording or voice change. It looks like when you sign up you get 6 free credits, then after those are going if you want to use it you must buy credits.

Pocket Coffee Mobile is a fun pocket pc software. Have your friends ever told you “cool phone, but does it makes coffee? No? A pity…”. Well, now your device will also make coffee. And not only: cappuccino, tea, milk, hot chocolate… Here is the Windows Mobile “light” version: it has no timebomb, but he coffee machine only gives two products. Now you can carve your name on stone ( or a virtual one in your PocketPC anyways ) with the oldest human glyphs: Egyptian hieroglyphics, Cuneiform, Maya hieroglyphics, Runes, Ogham script and also in Klingon, the extra-terrestrial language.

A bit of history : The Rosetta Stone is a Ptolemaic era stele with carved text made up of three translations of a single passage: two in Egyptian language scripts (hieroglyphic and Demotic) and one in classical Greek. Created in 196 BC, it was discovered by the French in 1799 at Rosetta, and contributed to the deciphering of the principles of hieroglyph writing in 1822 by the British scientist Thomas Young and the French scholar Jean-François Champollion.
