OutSync 1.0.100 – sync photos of your facebook friends with matching outlook contacts

OutSync is a free Windows application that syncs photos of your Facebook friends with matching contacts in Microsoft Outlook. It allows you to select which contacts are updated, so you can update all contacts at once or just a few at a time. The main benefit of OutSync is for Windows Mobile users. Updated contacts are automatically synced with Windows Mobile devices by Exchange server or ActiveSync. Thus, new and fun photos appear during calls and other places where contacts are used. For a step by step demo, please watch this video.

Note: OutSync is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Server 2003. It requires Outlook 2003 or 2007.

Setup:

1. Download and install OutSync.msi.
2. Launch OutSync from the Start Menu. Initial startup may take 1-2 minutes, please be patient.
3. Login to Facebook from within OutSync and wait until contacts are matched.
4. [Optional] Uncheck contacts you don’t want to sync.
5. Press the Sync button to update selected Outlook contacts from Facebook.

BookSync 0.A – synchronize contact pics with Facebook Friends

BookSync is a pocket pc freeware for Windows Mobile phones that will allow you to synchronize the pictures of the contacts in your phone with profile pictures of your friends on Facebook. Because phone book contacts may not match with peoples real names on Facebook you first match the contacts. This matching is then stored for future synchronising. This application is its early stage of development but the core functionality works.

Usage:
Load the application and log into FB, BookSync will then get your FB contacts and your phone contacts. You will then be presented with 2 lists. Click on a mobile contact and select the appropriate FB contact. A star will be shown indicating that the contact is matched. Repeat this for all contacts. Hit Sync. BookSync will then download the users profile pictures and set them as your phone contact pictures.

Thats it… simple. If people have updated their profile pictures, launch BookSync all the matching will have persisted from the last time so just hit sync and you are up to date.

This is a freeware Facebook Application for Windows Mobile. Its in version 0.14 and has been released by jug6ernaut from xda-dev. It should work on VGA, QVGA, WQVGA & WM Standard. This application cannot be installed on to the storage card.

Current Know Issues
1. Can not be installed to Storage Card
2. If not WWE Rom, install may be not be perfect
3. Login Info will NOT be saved even if “save info” is checked (if you close with the X button(or other apps) instead of the “log out” your login info will be saved
