Since Christmas there has been another 100,000 monthly active users of Facebook on the Windows Phone, the figure now stands at 1.3 million users.

What is new in the Windows Phone Facebook App update

Facebook Windows Phone Mango

The official Facebook app on Windows has been recently updated and brings some new Mango goodness to the app. According to WMPU some of the few features include the ability to pin various item to the home screen along with the ability to receive toasts and tile notifications for a wide variety of events, including friend requests, messages, being tagged and more, Support for other languages like Arabic, etc. Some feature like ” liking a comment ” , support for Groups, etc are still missing from the app. Did you guys notice anything new ?

877,000 WP7 Handsets in February? Really?

Alex Wilhelm of TheNextWeb says that their algorithm that earlier predicted correctly that Microsoft had sold 2 million handsets is now pegging that number at 877,000. Read on to see if that indeed makes sense.

We have seen Facebook Instant Messenger ( FIM ) from our Windows Mobile days and I am sure quite a few of you guys who has come across from Windows Mobile will be no stranger to this app by mosko.mobi, Now Nadav Moskovitz the develoepr behind the popular WM app has released a Windows Phone 7 App, so this means that Facebook Chat is now available to WP7 users.

Official WP7 Facebook app appears!

After seeing how deeply Facebook is already integrated into WindowsPhone7, I wasnt expecting a stand-alone app to appear, but as I looked through the selection of “Social” apps, there it was! The Facebook logo! Its come from the Microsoft corp, so its no hoax. Not that it would be, but I’m still a little surprised by its appearance. See some pics after the break! (more…)

Windows Phone 7 Facebook contact integration options

One of the major concern that early reviewers noted about WP7 was the fact that it pulls all facebook contacts in to your contact list when you choose this options. On Facebook people go on a friends frenzy especially when playing games like FarmVille, Mafia Wars, etc and this often results in a massive friends list ( been there , done that and later had to un-friend a tonne of people ) but now Microsoft has done something that most people didn’t expect. They listed to the reviewers opinion and implemented a simple fix , adding facebook info for existing contacts. This feature was present in the RTM version and WMPU have managed to get a snapshot of the feature. I think this is a great feature and no lets hope they do the same for CopyPaste and Multitasking.

Its finally here , many users were after this and now thanks to meltwater from xda-developers we have a solution for this problem. Introducing the Facebook Tab for HTC Sense 2.5. This is not a turnkey solution and the installation requires a lot of different steps. meltwater has posted all the required files and install instruction on this thread at xda-dev
