We’re less than a week in and we are gaining traction! Mark and I received a lot of good feedback through different networks and have spent some time bouncing ideas back and forth on ways to improve the WinPhan Movement. We appreciate all the feedback our great readership here offered on ways to improve the Movement! For starters, we got rid of the “7″ and will just refer to the Movement as WinPhan in order to simplify the issue of numerical changes with OS updates. Next, in addition the WinPhan SkyDrive, where you can download customizable WinPhan pics, we have started other social network outlets to get the word out there and generate a WinPhan community. If you have just got back from a pole to pole expedition with Bear Grills, you would have a good excuse to have never heard about the #smokedbywindowsphone promotion Microsoft have been running since CES, for the rest of you that dont know what #smokedbywindowsphone is, I can only ask you this one question… “Where have you been hiding for the last few months???”

Microsoft have taken their hugely popular ‘Smoked By Windows Phone’ to the attendee’s of MWC2012 in Barcelona winning 90% of the challenges in their first day alone.

Many of us WP owners are more than just owners of the WP platform, we are Windows Phone enthusiasts and WinPhan7′s. I know I’m not alone in my daily battle to bring a higher recognition, appreciation, and acceptance from Android and iPhone owners alike to the WP platform. Ben “The PC Guy” has turned his quest on a daily basis to do the same, into an advertisement campaign. Are you looking to help and bring a “street level” recognition and acceptance to WP? Looking for some help from Microsoft? Hidden inside the WP Marketplace, Retail Insider is an outstanding free app meant to help mobile carriers and stores better sell WP, but the developers of the app strongly encourage the rest of us to use it too! They just added 15 new countries to their support list, including Australia. I had the opportunity last week to correspond via email with one of the team members responsible for creating content for the app. They were so pleasurable, I felt it would have been a disservice if I didn’t try to bring more recognition to what it is they do and get more people involved in helping!

Win a White Nokia Lumia 800 on Facebook

Nokia are really pushing out the boat with their marketing campaign recently, having over 1 million Lumia 800′s sold to carriers, and with new phones coming out in the coming weeks, it’s kinda hard not to notice the efforts the Finnish manufacturer are going to, to get the brand back where they feel they deserve to be.
