Smart Dialer is a homebrew app for for Windows Phone developed by Deadknight , unlike the stock metro dialer this app can give you all the results for the numbers you enter kinda like instant results as you type in the numbers. The app only work on unlocked Mango devices.
Dont want to scroll through the entire contact list ? Ever wish the handy dialer from Windows Mobile was included in the people hub ? Well this app comes close , it will not add it to the peoples hub but will add an app that allows users to use a dialer like interface for making those quick calls.
7dialer allows you to quickly call any of your contacts. No need to go to the contact hub nor flick neither scroll to find a contact, simply launch this app and use its SIP keyboard to search the contact you want to dial to, tap on it and ready to talk. You can also send an SMS or email in a couple of taps.
The app also allows you to define a favorites list for even faster access.
You won’t need to enter each contact manually because 7dialer is able to import/sync your Windows Live contacts.
Livven Windows Phone 7 Metro dialer skin is a new WP7 inspired skin for WP7. This is a dialer which imitates the WP7-style. Remember it’s not final, for example the in-call screen hasn’t been skinned yet.
Black Rhodium 3G Dialer for VGA devices has been released on xda-developers by Cactus World. According to the developer these are the changes in this release
1. Changed all phone and call log graphics to a nice black/dark color.
2. Added German translation files for the dialer.
3. And most important: Fixed the issue that all newer dialers at the moment have when switching to black, namely changing in call screen text for name and number to white.
I this this will only work if you have Manila 2.1 on your device. I am not sure if it supports English and am not sure if uninstalling it will restore your default dialer.

Contacts’ individual Call Logs: Tap and hold on a contact, and click on Call History to bring up individual call logs.
Accuracy Check on Recommended Contacts: Wondering if the accuracy for the contacts generated is correct? Go to Menu > Accuracy to find out the accuracy of the recommended contacts.
Continuous page flip: You may now flip through the 4 pages of contacts continuously in a loop.
Access to default contact page (or phone book): From the Menu > Contact you may access the default contact page or phone book on your device.

Relationship Ratings: The number of stars indicates the relationship with the caller
Recommend Indicators: This provides the reasons to why the caller showed up on the list:
Clock: based on your call tendencies
Calendar: based on upcoming event with the specific caller
Missed call: based on any missed call that you may have received
Cake: Birthday cake presents birthday as an event
Hide Option: If you prefer to remove someone from the list, you may use the ‘Hide the Person’ feature by long-pressing on the contact

Default Button: The menu hardware button is automatically assigned to DialerAce following installation and soft reset. You can simply press a button see see who you are going to call next!

ZLaunchy was written mainly for those who like the way Windows Mobile dialer allows searching for contacts in a T9-like way – so that finding Adam means choosing 2326 in the phone application. ZLaunchy uses the same idea to run programs on your device. What it does is gives you a dialer keypad and when you type in a series of digits, it searches for all programs that match – for example to start Internet Explorer, start typing 4683 – Internet Explorer and Internet Sharing should show up in the result list.
This application performs a search using all items in the Start Menu. It also skips showing application icons, which causes it to work faster than usual application launchers. This makes ZLaunchy a perfect candidate for an application that’s bound to a hardware key (using system settings) and have it always handy when you want to find an application quickly.
Avatar is a photo dialer with the ultra-smooth scrolling and low memory footprint. Avatar is extremely easy to use:
Flick to scroll among your contacts. Contacts without pictures will not show up.
Tap an avatar to bring up details. This is where iContact integration kicks in: if iContact is installed, Avatar will use it. If not, it will bring up the standard contact manager.
Tap-and-hold on an avatar to call using that contact’s “smart property”: the one that shows up in the standard contact manager. “<m>” = mobile, “<w>” = work, “<h>” = home, etc.
