This is not specific to Windows Mobile but you gotta love the idea. I recently came across a concept design for Mobile devices from industrialdesignserved.com, it was an idea submitted for “Design the mobile phone of 2020″. There are no more screens , the display is using 3D projectors. What do you think ?

Windows Mobile 7 , even though WM 6.5 is not publicly released yet no one can get enough of Windows Mobile 7. I personally dont think this is Windows Mobile 7 but having said that these concept , some for WM6.1 ? and WM5.5 ? as per the website, does look amazing. There are a few concept styles like the Dream Touch, sherry and Block Media. The main theme with all of them is finger friendly interface, Glossy and semi transparent interface. I dont see this as the final concept for Windows Mobile 7 and am sure we will see more along the way.

At the Wharton Business Technology Conference, Microsoft’s Business Division president Stephen Elop unveiled the latest production from Microsoft Office Labs called “2019″, starring stock photo men, women and children playing with the next-generation of communication, collaboration and production technologies. Some of the technology showcased in this video are a “transparent wall” between two classrooms around the world that you can draw on it animates drawings and does realtime translations of the conversation , electronic boarding cards, digital wallet, transparent displays, mini projectors, mobile devices, electronic newspapers and so on.

The Astonishing Tribe is a company that looks to sell impressive designs to OEMs, and besides designing the Sliding-Panels-like UI seen in the picture above, they have been trying their hand at attractive device locking software for the HTC Touch Diamond as seen in the video after the break. Their products are not available to the public yet but is certainly inspiring. From the home screen perspective I dont think the app is a great idea, but the interface looks nice to be used as a launcher application. What do you guys think, is it a good Today Screen Design?

After more than 200Million downloads for the desktop version , the fox is still going strong. Its no secret they are trying to get a mobile version of firefox out there for mobile users. Here is a Quick peek @ what it might look like:

This concept prototype for Firefox mobile (code name Fennec) is being designed for a touch screen. Start it up and this is what will greet you

Features:

* You can scroll the page by dragging as well as flicking.
* You zoom out again by dragging the page past its border in any direction.
* Creating a new tab is easy. You click on the big plus, and the browser finds an open spot, puts the tab there, and zooms in on it.
* The standard controls (like back and forward) are located to the left of the page. You get there by gently dragging the page in the appropriate direction.
