Living with the Nokia Luna Headset

Nokia Luna BH-220 Bluetooth Headset and Holder

Nokia Luna BH-220 Bluetooth Headset and Holder

I received a Nokia Luna BH-220 bluetooth headset from the fine people at mobilefun.co.uk, to write an in-depth review on and I have been using it on my two Windows Phones, the Samsung Omnia 7 and the Nokia Lumia 800, for a little over two weeks now and I must say it has surpassed all of my expectations by a considerable margin.

I decided not to write an article based on facts, figures or its sleek good looks, instead I decided to write an article about how easy the headset is to live with, after all that’s what’s important to us all at the end of the day.

An hour after I had opened the box, the headset was fully charged using the enclosed AC-16X superfast 1 amp charger and bundled CA-169 thick usb lead, (the same charger that you will find inside the Lumia 800 box.)

There is a convenient led on the top of the holder that shows the charging status of the headset, that changes from red when its charging, to green, indicating that the headset is fully charged and ready to go. [click to continue…]

Nokia Luna BH-220 Unboxing [Video]

by bAN01TgAZ on February 18, 2012

in WP7 Accessories

The Nokia Luna BH-220 bluetooth headset is the newest addition to the Finnish companies product line up.

The sleek ergonomically designed headset is packed full of features, with a very respectable 60 days standby time stowed in the holder, 35 hours standby time out of the holder and 8 hours talk time, I find it remarkable for its size and speed of charge. Using the enclosed AC-16X charger and CA-179 USB lead, the headset is fully charged from completely dead in a speedy 2 hours.

WiFi Location

WiFi Location

WifiLocations 0.6 is a windows mobile freeware that i saw on geekotic.com. Developed by snempaa from xda-developers. Current features include :

  • Specify locations (based on GSM/UMTS Cell-ID) where WiFi will be activated automatically (and turned off when you leave)
  • Specify locations where Bluetooth will be activated automatically (and turned off when you leave) or the otherway around (for headset/carkit usage).
  • Specify locations where your ringer should be turned off or to vibrate (and back to previous state when you leave)
  • Run a user-specified program when in specified location (and the choice of killing it when you leave).
  • Name the Cell’s so it’s a little less confusing.
  • Autostart on reboot-option

You can add your current location or walk around for 60seconds in your house to add all used GSM/UMTS-cellsites. (You have to add them both if your in a low 3g-signal area)

AutoActiveSync vis Bluetooth
AutoActiveSync, created by dmkpoznan, is an innovative tool to connect your computer and mobile device via Bluetooth. Many people choose to use a micro-USB cable to connect to their computer, but this app connects wirelessly by using Bluetooth to find the familiar ActiveSync (Windows XP) and Device Manager (Windows Vista) programs on your computer. Now, you can leave your computer, come back to it and it’ll re-sync itself. No more having to manually connect to your data manager programs, which is perfect for power users.

Note: By default, it will launch and hide itself in the background after each soft reset. If you don’t want this app running all the time, just delete the shortcut under the windows/startup directory. Then you can activate or deactivate via the shortcut in your programs folder. Also, be sure to follow the full instructions on the developer’s page.
