Nokia Lumia sales have exceeded expectations

According to Ralph de la Vega, CEO of AT&T Mobility Nokia’s Lumia 900 has exceeded expectations and its great to see that kind of praise coming from the CEO of AT&T Mobility. Speaking at the JP Morgan technology conference, he had the following statement to make about the Lumia 900.

I am really pleased with what I am seeing out of Microsoft and Nokia coming out with their first product. The operating system works really well. It is simple, it is easy to use, it is intuitive.

The reception to the Lumia launch has actually exceeded our expectations. So we think there is a very good chance that Microsoft will have a very good OS that will be right in there with iOS and Android.

When they come out with Windows 8 in the fourth quarter, I think it will actually add to the value that that OS brings to the marketplace, in that that will be the first time that you can truly have a similar experience on your PC, on your tablet, and on your smartphone from soft Microsoft. From what I have seen and the previews that I have been given, I think it is going to be exceptionally good. I am very upbeat in what they are bringing to the market.

Nokia´s US president Chris Weber recently told the PCMag that they are winning over AT&T sales people. The Lumia 900 is sold faster than they can produce it.

Remember the Samsung Mandel we saw a couple of days ago it is official going to be called the Samsung Focus 2 and will be available in the US on May 20th for only $49.99 ( with a two-year contract ) on AT&T’s 4G LTE network. The specs are disappointing for a new device with 4” Super AMOLED display, 5MP camera and 8GB of non-expandable onboard storage just like the Focus but is white in color has a Front Facing camera , works on the LTE network and has a 2 slapped at the end of the name. We are not sure what the unlocked price would be , we will keep an eye out for it and let you guys know as soon as we know. Impressed ?

Samsung Galaxy S3 is an android powerd handset that is said to run the new 1.4 GHz Exynos 4 Quad chipset, 4.7-inch HD display and a 12 MP camera , there are rumors goiung around which suggests that Samsung might be using this design to power the Samsung Focus S2 which will be a Windows Phone 8 device. According to WP-Life the device will sport the following specs

Faster dual/quad core processor (depending on region)
4.7-inch HD display
12-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera
NFC capabilities

Nokia pushes out Lumia 900 update ahead of schedule

Shortly after the Lumia 900 went on sale, Nokia acknowledged a software issue that can sometimes lead to lost data connectivity and it looks like Nokia has already pushed out the loss of Data connectivity Fix to AT&T customers which was scheduled to be pushed out on the 16th. It is not know if the update fixes the battery issue that many users were complaining about. ( should you guys update your device plz do let us know your findings )

AT&T Lumia 900 loss of data connectivity fix coming on April 16th

It seems that Nokia has acknowledged that the AT&T Lumia 900 did suffer from a software issue that could, in some cases, lead to loss of data connectivity on the device, something that was raised by many reviewers. The good folks from Nokia will be offering options to you:

1) You will be able to update your device with the latest software via Zune on or around Monday, April 16th.
or
2) Swap your current Lumia 900 for an updated Lumia 900

And as a gesture of good will, if you got yourself a Nokia Lumia 900 or if you get one between now and April 21st you will receive a $100 credit to your AT&T bill !!

Most people wont be happy with any issue on their new devices but Kudos to Nokia for handling it well. via nokia conversations

Is AT&T really a good choice as launch partner?

Something is going essentially wrong in my eyes at AT&T. A few days ago we reported about a very bad customer experience at an AT&T store.

Um Excuse Me, My Name Is The HTC Titan™ II

April 8^th, the day in which the Nokia Lumia 900 introduces itself to the US Market via AT&T. There are a lot of consumers here in the states, who have been waiting for this day to arrive. This article won’t be about that however. Same date, same carrier, but a different story though. With no big promotion, no people clamoring for its launch, front page on AT&T’s website, heck not even on its own OEM’s front page on their website, the HTC Titan™ II will launch on April 8^th along with the Lumia 900. While kind of sad, it actually offers encouragement, the US market is showing Microsoft that they think WP is good, just not on a recycled Android device.
