ArkSwitch
ArkSwitch is a finger-friendly task manager for Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and up ( will work older WM wm6.5.x with some limitation ). Check out
our review for an older version here. Its quite easy to install
1. Install the CAB.
2. Either reboot (it will run on startup) or start it from the start menu –> Tools.
3. Click the left half of the top bar (or other area if customized) to bring it up.
and there are a few themes available, so you can quickly change the look of the app.

- FIX: Shortcut creation (was fixed in an unofficial v1.1.4a release earlier)
- ADD: Quickly killing the foreground app by “scratching” the activation field!
- ADD: German translation
- ADD: More registry tweaks, including one to disable the “Close All” confirmation

ArkSwitch is an easy to use, finger-friendly task manager for Windows Mobile 6.5.3 (with a WM6.5 compatibility mode). This application was designed specifically for WM6.5.3. Although it has been reported to work on WM6.5, I cannot recommend its use on that OS. You could enable WM6.5 compatibility mode, but it just wouldn’t be the same without top bar integration.

You can click the text of an app to bring it to the foreground, click the icon to view the App Info screen, or click the “X” image to close it. WM6.5.3 users would be crazy not to use this, this is easily one of the best task mangers out there on windows mobile 6.5.3. We will try and get a full detailed review of the app soon. Kudos to

ArkSwitch is a new windows mobile 6.5 task manager. To use it, simply click the left half of the top bar. The right half still has the normal WM6.5.x icon enlargement functionality. ArkSwitch can be opened from any screen that has the top bar visible. You can click the text or the icon of the app to bring it to the foreground, or click the red “X” to close it.
This version add WM6.5 compatibility in case you don’t want ArkSwitch to take over your top bar, you can disable that functionality and thereby have it function as a standard app. In this mode, the original WM6.5 should also be fully functional. To enable this mode go to the Options screen.
Some features include :
- finger friendly interface
- Color-coded free/total RAM info on the bottom
- Close all open task
- Add exclution for selected apps
