TrineFix 2.0

TrineFix is an app to help you manage your contacts, appointments and tasks. Do you have issues with duplicate contacts or appointments, the “FileAs” function on your contacts not being how you like it, missing country codes or incorrect formats? Well, TrineFix will fix it for you! There are other applications that do much of the same, but TrineFix lets you always preview the data that will be affected and even select/unselect individual items quickly to give you full control.

Note: it’s highly recommended to backup your data before using tools such as TrineFix.

This little application allows you to quickly type a new appointment without using the stylus. It’s a finger-friendly tool, very simple and easy to use.

Features :

Details button: open the advances options form.
Recurrence option: once, every week, every month, every year.
Alarm option: you can set an alarm and its timer.
All texts are in a resources file, you can translate it in your language. If you translate texts file please send me yours version that I’ll share it.
All graphics elements are external files, you can modify them as your preferences.

TodayAgenda 1.1 – task and appointments on today screen

The default task and appointments on today screen is not a great feature of Windows Mobile , On a scale of 1-5 where 1 is the lowest I would rate it 0. Many commercial application like SPB Diary offers a very powerful today plugin replacement for task and appointments. Recently I was looking for a freeware alternative for the same and came across TodayAgenda.

TodayAgenda displays appointments and tasks on your today screen up to 30 days in advance. It replaces the default Outlook plugin with a lot of more features. On a scale of 1-5 this gets a 4. The only drawback I found was that it takes a while to refresh the today screen plugin once changes are made. How would you rate this application ?

Functions:

View appointments (including location and busy status) up to 30 days in advance
View tasks (include status) up to 30 days in advance
View birthdays/anniversaries from your contacts up to 30 days in advance
View current day and time
Open tasks and appointments from your today screen
“Complete” tasks via context menu on your today screen
Create new appointments and tasks via context menu on your today screen
Delete appointments and tasks
Font and color of appointments and tasks can be set depending on their categories
Tasks can be sorted by subject, priority, start or due date
Open calendar, task list and time/alarm settings (tap and tap’n'hold on the TodayAgenda icon or clock)
Anniversary function: for all day, free, yearly appointments without end date the years since the beginning are displayed
Collapse/expand days and task list (double click onto day/task header)
Filter items by category

Some notes on usage:

In calendar view you can navigate through the years by swiping your finger from bottom to top or vice versa.
To navigate through the months, swipe your finger from left to right or vice versa.
To get out of the detail/day view swipe your finger from right to left.

- Windows Mobile Pocket PC 2003, WM5 or WM6 device
- your fingers

It is a handy finger friendly calendar application that should replace the default MS calendar. Its only QVGA @ the moment.

Installation:
For now there is no installer for this app. Please copy it and the skin.ini to any folder on your device and start it. That’s all.

ChangeLog version 0.1 :

- colors fully customizable through a skin.ini file
- month view
- days with appointments are marked with small triangles (also recurring appointments)
- detailed view of the appointments
- you can navigate between months and years per gestures
- supports d-pad input

ToDo for next release:

- the detailed view of appointments has to be finished (at the moment it is only a demo)
- add/delete/modify appointments
- vga support
- localisation (multiple languages)
- background image
- view/add/modify/delete tasks (not only appointments)
