Samsung Omnia 2 ( left ) vs HTC HD2 ( right )
hdblog.it has posted some great screen comparison between the 2 hottest device on the market. The AMOLED Screen Omnia II vs the capacitive screen HTC HD2. From the screenshot above you can make out that the AMOLED Screen on the Samsung Omnia II looks way better than the the HTC HD2.

Definition of “AMOLED”
AMOLED, which stands for Active Matrix OLED, is a hybrid display technology that pairs the active matrix backplane from a traditional TFT display with an OLED display. As a result of their active matrix natures, AMOLED displays have faster pixel switching response times than do traditional OLED displays, which are prone to ghosting when displaying fast moving animations.

You guys would have noticed Samsung’s has been throwing around the word AMOLED Screen in all directions. Well what is it ? AMOLED stands for Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode screens.
