Generally, drinking and electronics are not the best of friends but with apps like Cocktail Flow we have seen that that is not the case on Windows Phone 7. Cocktail Flow is great if you love cocktails but what if you are a wine-o ( read Wine Enthusiast ) well thanks to this amazing WP7 app Vivino, you can mix your Windows Phone 7 with your wine sessions :). Vivino can recognize major wine labels using image recognition. Though it does not recognize every brand under the sun, Vivino can recognize 450,000 wines from over 11,000 wineries and all that in the first version of the app, that is impressive. As more users use the app and sends in data about wines that number will keep going up. Cocktail Flow is a Windows Phone 7 application created by Distinction and GregDoesIT and it has to be the best looking app on Windows Phone 7 (at least from what I have seen this far ). This is one app that every one who looks at it will instantly fall in love with. If you are in the market looking for a cocktail app there is absolutely no reason why you should not give it a go. Cocktail Flow features beautifully presented recipes that comes out in a nice little animation which shows the ingredients used for the drink. When you launch the app it gives you the basic options like searching through all the available cocktails or you can filter through using the base drinks (Rum, Vodka Tequila, etc) or via type ( classic, shooter, alcohol free, etc).
If you frequent the bar, or just like to have the occasional drink, then this WP7 app called Alcohol meter will tell you when you should call a taxi. When you first launch the application, you’ll enter some personal information like sex, age, size and wight ( supports Metric and Imperial units ) so the application can calculate your BAC correctly, the app also takes in to account the BAC limit for various countries. Alcohol Meter app for WP7 will automatically change colors based on your theme to add that extra bit of personalization to your apps. The app is developed by Steven Meyer.

If you tell the app the time, quantity and type of drink it will even tell you when the app thinks it will be ok for you to drive and give you a small graph with the given data. Alcohol Meter also throws a bunch of mini games your way ranging from math, reflex, shapes, stability, etc.

Have you ever been curious to see the level of your blood alcohol concentration, after a night of drinking, but don’t have a breathalyzer? A member on XDA, IIIzeusIII, has created a BAC calculator just for that purpose. Now, after a handful of drinks, you can see just how drunk you might be.
Note: it seems to be only for WVGA devices right now, but the developer is very helpful and said he could port it for VGA screens (if there is a demand for it). He also seems to be taking suggestions. There are two versions, English and German, so visit the developer’s thread and download after the break.
