Fixed in this release:

* You will not be able to comment on non-AIM activities such as Twitter or Facebook unless the owner of those activities have you on their buddy list.
* In AIM, if you have the Me tab in focus and a new notification comes in, you will not receive that notification on the Me tab until you leave that tab and come back.

New experiences we know about:

* Once you have set Lifestream to publish to Twitter or Facebook by checking the Twitter/Facebook checkboxes on the Lifestream or Updates tab on http://lifestream.aim.com, setting an AIM status from AIM WinMo will continue to push your AIM status to those services. To disable this feature, please go to http://lifestream.aim.com/settings and change the settings for that service.

AIM Beta 2.0

With some of the other IM clients, I’m often disappointed when I realize that they list mobile users as regular users. AIM 2.0 uses special indicators to distinguish mobile, idle and active users from each other. This eliminates any confusion when starting a conversation with someone. With AIM for Windows Mobile, you’re able to send messages, manage your buddy list, change your conversation style, update your status and more.

New in version 2.0:

Lifestream!
- Get AIM activities like status updates.
- Got friends on other networks? Add your Facebook or Twitter services and never miss an update. Start syncing to your accounts by going to lifestream.aim.com and update your settings.
- You can add your YouTube or Delicious accounts too.
- Leave a comment, like an item. Obviously, if your friends don’t have the beta they won’t know about the Lifestream so if you want to try out commenting back and forth with someone make sure they have the beta too.
- Read comments made by your friends. Obviously, if your friends don’t have the beta, they won’t know about the Lifestream. Comments can be made on the desktop AIM beta client or at lifestream.aim.com.

Me tab
- The “Me” tab is a companion to the Lifestream that lets you know when people leave you comments or “like” your updates.

Bug fixes
- Minor bug fixes and performance improvements.

AOL Instant Messenger client called MobileAIM was put up on the AOL beta page. I for one am not that excited about it. Why u might ask there are other clients like Palringo, Jive, Fring etc that already offer this and with those clients you dont need to have multiple application for each messenger , plus I dont have an AIM account :). But there might be some specific feature present in MobileAIM that are not available on the other clients.
