MOAR ads like these Nokia

The first Nokia Windows Phone advertisement was not something that really sold the features built in to Windows Phone but give a glimpse of the live lites on the device but Nokia India has been putting up some great little ads that showcase some of the cool new features on Windows Phone. This ad shows off the advantages of pinning a live tile contact on the the home screen in a fun cool way ( or it could be seen as a way to keep tabs on someone , but I am going to go with the former scenario )

Microsoft might not have done it but Nokia sure is doing it ..

… I am taking about Advertising Windows Phone to the masses. The marketing efforts of Microsoft ( in Australia ) in regards to Windows Phone was well, not enough by any means there were hardly any TV ads .. there were a few in the beginning but then it just faded away. But Nokia has been quite busy marketing their Lumia series in Australia from interactive giant lumia 800s in the street , TV ads and even full page ads in Newspapers .. MX is a popular free newspaper in Melbourne , most commuters pick it up on their way back home and in Melbourne their readership is over to 300,000 and when you put an ad like this , it will get noticed .. look and learn Microsoft. ( excludes Ben Rudolph, that guy is a super star .. one of the few left since Brandon Watson left Microsoft )

Nokia Lumia 900 could also work for extreme sports

Here are some Nokia lumia 900 ads for those involved in extreme sports like free running. To celebrate the launch of the new Nokia Lumia 900 at Mobile World Congress 2012, Nokia challenged free runner, Pip Andersen to try out the Lumia 900 in and around the city of Barcelona. They also invited BMXer, James Ivett to try out the Lumia 900 followed by skateboarder, Jed Cullen. The best part is the ads also shows some handy features and Apps on Windows Phone unlike the Microsoft Me Series which was more about the people using them than the Phones themselves.

Jace one of our games reviewer from BestWP7Games.com has put up a short Fan made ad for Windows Phone. It highlights the fact that we have a lot of the stuff people use integrated right in to the OS like Facebook, Twitter, Bing Vision, etc.

Microsoft Family

A couple of new Microsoft ads has popped up on youtube , they are from the new Family Series of ads by ad agency Cripin, Porter + Bogusky , The ads show how familes can interact with Windows PCs, Xbox, Kinect, and Windows Phones !! The ads are part of a new campaign to promote Windows, Xbox, and Windows Phone, and a new website at www.microsoft.com/family

Windows Phone 7 Product Placement in TV shows

Microsoft has been pushing Windows Phone 7 in any way they can, I am still upset they didn’t try to air an ad during Super Bowl, but they have been steadily pushing WP7 through various media and social channels, including various TV shows. Today we look at some of the TV show and superheros who seem to love Windows Phone 7 ;)

Smallville WP7

Smallville – is an television series revolving around the teenage years of Superman and how Clark Kent becomes SuperMan. The series was know to carry Product placement for Windows Mobile so its no surprise WP7 will often make itself visible in this series. Check out some video time that WP7 got in the hands of Lois Lane in this video

Chase WP7

Chase - Chase is a police procedural drama television series which follows a U.S. Marshals fugitive-apprehension team, based out of Houston, Texas. Chase revolves around Annie Frost, a deputy U.S. Marshal, and her high-priority fugitive-apprehension team that track down dangerous criminals in South Texas. Video ( can’t embed )

WP7 Surprise Advertisement

One of the latest ads to surface for the WP7 platform gives a very good impression of the possibilities with your WP7 phone. The ads are increasingly concentrating on trumpeting the Phones capabilities as opposed to trashing other players. Also we seem to be moving towards carrier branded ads. Good job Microsoft!

AdDuplex now opens its door to advertisers

AdDuplex used to allow wp7 app developers to show off ads for their apps via the other developers app and now they have started accepting advertisers to join the network so they can buy impressions on the various WP7 apps that run AdDuplex ads in the app / game. So now AdDuplex join other ad network like AdMob and Microsoft’s own Ad Network ( which is limited to Us publishers ) Its nice to see many advertising options are becoming available for WP7 developers.
