Oh noes !!!! my Windows Phone screen is all foggy .. but that is not a bad thing coz its a cool new app :D Stormy7 to Windows Phone is what iSteam is to iPhone. You know the app that allows you to create ultra-realistic steam by blowing in to the microphone on your phone and rub it off with the squeaky sounds. The app also simulates the water droplets that you can control with the accelerometer. Now this app might not be a great productivity app but its a great novelty idea and a nice looking app to have on your phone. Video and Press release below

WinSaber Free is a free ad supported lightsaber app for Windows Phone 7 devices. Its nothing fancy but Star Wars fans might enjoy it. The app makes use of the accelerometer and lets you make the all too familiar vvmmm, vvmmm and the occasional tssshh ( when 2 lightsabers collide ) sound by moving your device around. When you launch the app you get a lightsaber clicking on it will activate the lightsaber with the sound that the movie fans will be quite accustomed to.

Paint to Life is a Windows Phone 7 physics drawing app by Spritehand LLC. The app is quite simple you draw stuff with it and watch the things come to life. When you draw anything the app automatically adds physics properties to the drawn item. You can use your finger with the inbuilt pencil tool which are then translated into physics objects. The app also makes use of the accelerometer and you can move the objects by tilting your device.

An idea for developers to do with tilt.

This is just a quick one about an idea that’s been going around in my head for the past week or so.

Now, I code in c# but I am by no means an expert, actually I am still very much a beginner considering how huge the world of programming can get & there is no way on earth I could figure out how to test this Idea. Still, I wanted to share this little ‘epiphany’ I had.

Boing accelerometer game for windows phone

Boing

Boing is a game built for use on a HTC windows mobile phone with a tilt sensor / accelerometer / g-sensor. Move the device to move the ball and bounce from platform to platform, it requires a device that has opengl es support.
Instructions :

Touch the screen or use arrow keys to start or pause the game.
Tilt the device side to side to move the ball.
Enter button exits the game.
When paused, touching the lower portion of the screen where it says resume will resume
and touching the upper area where it says exit will exit the game.

Experiment 13 from the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 Accelerometer enabled fun game. Its got great controls and nice graphics. It requires an Accelerometer built in to your device and would require a high end processor. Since this is made for the X2 I am not sure if it will play nicely with the other Windows Mobile devices. If you liked the 3D shooter / racer Xtrakt then you might love this.
