c0rnholio from xda-developers has released a new windows mobile freeware called Smoke Tracker , its a tool for those who want’s to reduce their tobacco consumption or stop smoking by reducing consumption over a period of time. Its a simple app to use each time you get a ciggi just launch the app and click “Got one…”. The overall daily rate is stored in a xml file for each day. By using the calendar navigator you can track how much you smoked on which day. By setting up thresholds you can define audible alerts (2 .wav are included) and the colour of the counter gets red when the threshold exceeds. Threshold 1 plays “cough.wav”, and Threshold 2 plays “smoke-that.wav”.
Requirements:
WM 5.0 or above and .NetCF 3.5

This is a fantastic idea for a simple app that will help raise a smokers awareness of exactly how much they smoke. Sometimes it helps to see it when you want to recognize it's a bit of a problem.. I smoke A LOT and I really hope that I can use this program to help cutback some and eventually quit. So simple, but I think it's going to be incredibly useful to myself an others. Big props to the dev!
If I had to make a suggestion I think it might be cool to have a 'cost' tally too. Have a section to put in what you paid for you last pack of cigs and it will add up how much you've spent smoking!
ps. He's updated to v.2 which fixes a bug that prevented the software from working properly. For me, it's gone in v.2
