SmartLauncher Beta 0.9 – turn on WiFi, launch your internet browser and then turn off WiFi all with one app

Using WiFi when browsing the net definitely makes the mobile browsing experience more enjoyable. Unfortunately, you have to take several steps to turn on WiFi, launch the browser and then turn WiFi off afterward. SmartLauncher, created by elmalote, helps cut out the fuss by doing all this for you. The app is in the beta phase, so the developer is still trying to find a way to implement compatibility with all devices.

Note: This app was created for the Touch Diamond 2. To inquire about its compatibility with other devices, please visit the developer’s forum.

What does it do:

- Activates WiFi & connects to preferred access point
- Shows connection strength, IP, SSID name and authentication mode
- Able to launch Opera browser with the same button that enables WiFi
- Turn off WiFi when done
