While the majority of Windows Phone users are enjoying the goodness of Mango , a small number of users however who happen to be stuck on Samsung Focus 1.4 ( Dell Venue Pro might also be suffering from the same fate ) are still waiting to get the Mango update. This is not the first time the Samsung Focus have had update issues. Number of users who have the Focus 1.4 have shared their thoughts via comment on the post and they are not very happy with the situation. We are not sure what the major differences are between version 1.4 and 1.3 of Samsung Focus, 1.3 seems to be fine and have Mango up and running.
In case you are still waiting for Mango on a Focus chances are you are having a Focus 1.4. There is another way to confirm this
Pull the battery out , you should be able to see the version number 1.3 or 1.4 between the sku and serial number to the right side of the sticker
It does not look like there is nothing much you can do at the moment. We have reached out to Microsoft Support in regards to this and will post an update as soon as we get a reply.

It’s stuff like this that has convinced me to ignore the alluring hardware of the focus flash and just keep waiting for Nokia. Samsung is good at cheaping out on key parts of the phone so they can focus on the specs that have a bigger draw. Their phones look great on paper but 1 year later you realize how many things they skimped in to bring you that killer screen. My less than one year old focus is riddled with problems. My son has an even newer nexus s that’s just as problematic. [Posted from the 1800PocketPC app]

I’m with geoken on this one. As much as I’d prefer what the Focus S is packing, I’ve gotten burned by the Galaxy S and it’s cruddy GPS, and now the silent delay in the 7.5 update for the Focus.
Completely Samsung fault, I got a Omnia with windows mobile and it was a disaster, I bought a Samsung Galaxy S thinking it was the best mobile at the time, and it was the biggest shit I ever had, I sold it 3 months after and buy a HD7 been happy with a phone in paper alot worst since then. Unfortunately, I own the Focus rev. 1.4. The difference is a different memory module that Samsung used, so no Mango at this point. They are supposed to release the update tomorrow, if all goes as planned (submission of revised update on the 14th, testing until the 31st). I expect another week’s delay after that, but of course I’m hoping it’ll just come out tomorrow…
