Rob Enderle, principal analyst for the Enderle Group in San Jose, California, estimates that HTC and most other handset manufacturers would have to pay Microsoft $20 to $40 per phone to license the intellectual property required for Android.
So does this mean no more Free Android OS for Manufactures ? Apparently to license Windows Mobile on to your device the Manufactures has to pay $8-$15 to Microsoft, looks like it will cost them even more to put Android on their device. I don’t think Google will like this and now we have to wait and see how they respond to this situation.
