[ Rumor ] HTC 7 Trophy – A new WP7 device from HTC ?

Remember the HTC Trophy ? I didn’t .. coz the rumor was from way back in 2009. We expected a WM6.5 device when the rumor was announced but now the Global Certification Forum a.k.a GCF ( a partnership between OEMs, operators and the test industry to certify phones ) just approved a new HTC device called HTC 7 Trophy. First the HTC HD7 and now HTC 7 Trophy ? Will HTC name all their WP7 devices with a 7 ? Now keep in mind that image used is from an old rumor and the HTC 7 Trophy might not look anything like this and for all we know it might not even run on WP7.

Now this front-facing QWERTY keyboard might be loved by many but imagine the many games that usually requires you to use both the side of the screen ( Rocket Riot is a good example ) , that would be be a almost un-playable on this type of devices. Of course if you dont care about games and love email and texting then this form factor will be exactly what you might need. What do our readers think ?

perfect! That looks like my new device :-) That one will get a lot of former Blackberry Curve users into the WP7 croud.

Hopefully HTC brings this one out this year…

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
