PocketBar 1.2

A PocketPC-based remote control for foobar2000 ( audio player for your PC )

Features:

  • Control foobar2000 from your PocketPC
  • Access all playlists and tracks in your collection
  • Currently playing track is highlighted in the playlist
  • Display album art for currently playing track
  • Change volume and playback order
  • Skinnable user interface
  • Supports UTF-8 encoding
  • Supports QVGA (240×320), Square QVGA (240×240), VGA (480×640) and Square VGA (480×480) resolutions

Installation:

  1. Download PocketBar using the link above.
  2. Open the zip file and run setup.exe (you may need to extract the contents first)
  3. Open foo_controlserver-1.0.2.zip and extract “foo_controlserver.dll” to “C:\Program Files\foobar2000\components\” (or wherever you installed foobar2000). You don’t need the other files in that archive.
  4. If foobar2000 is running, restart it.

Note: You need this version of foo_controlserver. Other versions will not function properly with PocketBar.

Displaying album art
Put your album art images in “/Program Files/PocketBar/AlbumArt/”. The filenames should be in the format “Artist – Album.jpg”. Invalid characters should be replaced with an underscore. For example, the album art for “Megadeth – Still Alive…And Well?” should be named “Megadeth – Still Alive…And Well_.jpg”

For display on a normal 240×320 device, the images should be 95×95 pixels in size. For display on a VGA device, the images should be 190×190.
