zarpy from xda-dev have released another iPhone classic on windows phone. Like his other games the game is a free game , not as feature rich as the original app but some of you guys might enjoy it. Here is the story behind the game : Your man is running away from an alien attack on the city. Your player runs auto_matically and speeds up over time. To make your player jump just press any part of the screen and your player will jump. This game is very easy to get into and enjoy. The highest score possible is around 9000. Google Visual Voicemail is a semi-offline client for Google voice. You can view and play your voice messages as well as mark them read/unread and delete them. When updating, message text is downloaded to a local cache that can be viewed at any time. Audio is downloaded the first time you click play and is stored for future use. You must update manually by going to menu->update. Automatic voice mail checking is being worked on, keep an eye on the NEW section.

Instructions:
1. Install cab.
2. On first launch you’ll get a “could not log in” error. Click ok, click menu and click settings.
3. For username, enter your full gmail address (ie. you@gmail.com) and for password your password.
4. Also enter your phone number and update interval.
5. Click save (click ok on the popup) then click cancel.
6. Click menu and click update.
7. On the first run it’ll probably complain about a missing file, click ok.

What are the Apps you would use on your WP7 ?

by Saijo George on July 30, 2010

in News

WP7 Apps and ( lets not forget WP7 games ) are popping up every where ( granted they are tech demos on emulator n all, but I have to say there seems to be strong developer interest in the platform ). So I am pretty sure there will be quite a lot of apps and games ready for launch. I have seen some amazing demos ( some of which I can talk about just yet ) and they are quite amazing.

Every one will have some favorite apps that they use often. So my question to you folks is

? What are the Apps you would use on your WP7 ? ( 3rd part apps , not stock stuff )

Few things that I would use quite often will be ( any developers working on these feel free to drop us a line )

  • Some kind of Google Analytics Client
  • Melbourne Tram / Train App
  • Twitter Client
  • Something to keep track of my bills
  • Some nice RSS Reader

Currently those are the most used apps on my iPhone.

Windows Phone 7 has no support for PDF ?

WP7_zip

WP7_zip

In a recent PocketNow article they got a tip saying WP7 can open up zip files from a webpage and you can view the content in the zip file.

Windows Phone 7 emulator is actually able to open ZIP files that you may click on from a website. A window will appear asking if you want to open the Zip file, then a new window will show the contents of the Zip file. If any of the files are of formats that are supported by the operating system, you’ll be able to open those as well.

But they also state that WP7 will not support PDF at launch, now that is disappointing. What do you guys think ?
