I just came across this ad for our WP7 gizmo. Looks like Microsoft has roped in German Supermodel Alena Gerber to help pump up those sales numbers a bit ;) There is also a translation from one of the readers!

City Walk is a Windows Phone 7 app that can be used to make your everyday walk around the city a bit more fun.
WP7 App Description
City Walk is (as the name suggests) an application for walkers (or jobbers). The idea is basic. Each city is divided into 50×50 meter squares. A larger city will have a larger area, thus more squares. The goal is to cover as many of the squares as possible while you are walking. The application will remember which squares are covered and send information about it to a central server to prevent loss of data and enable high score lists. The high score is the competitive part of the application. You can easily see if you are the one who has covered the most squares in your city or if you have some catching up to do. One user can of course be active in several cities. So it’s a good companion on a holiday or business trip as well! Today the application database consists of about 20000 cities from over 130 countries. Would your city still be missing, you just have to send an e-mail to info@powerapp.org and the city will be added within 24h.
While walking you are (besides the map) also presented a pane with info such as your current speed and your total distance of the day. Of course it also runs under locked screen!
Windows Phone 7 Device Manager will allow you to manage your Windows Phone 7 device from your PC, you can view, install and uninstall “sideloaded” applications, explore device, transfer and sync files. He also claims that if you don’t have a registered developer device it can automatically unlock your phone, so you don’t need ChevronWP7 anymore.
I’ve done a few calculations that show making apps for Windows Phone can really be worth it. I have made a game called TouchMeQuick. Its a very simple game & its free, but that hasnt stopped me from calculating how much I could have earned from it. [click to continue…]
We have seen that HTC devices can change the Change Accent colors on Windows Phone 7 using HomeBrew Apps and there are more than one.
Now Dave Amenta has released a HomeBrew tool for Samsung Windows Phone 7 devices that works in the same fashion. According to him
The app simply lets you edit the name and color value for all 10 of the installed accent colors. Simply edit the color, and then switch your theme in the Settings app for the changes to take effect.
