MIX is a gathering of developers, designers, UX experts and business professionals creating the most innovative and profitable consumer sites on the web. Sessions range from technical, code-based topics to expert advice on content strategy, usability and design.
The MIX11 WP7 will give you the complete schedule on your Windows Phone 7 for quick and easy offline reference. Includes session information, speaker bios, a map and news feed. You will also have the ability to favorite the sessions you plan on attending so you don’t accidentally miss that session.
NOTE: the final schedule will not be announced until much closer to the date in April – the app will update over wifi or 3G. Until then, browse the schedules from previous conferences and watch the recorded sessions.
We have seen a Google News app for Windows Phone 7, and now there is a another google app ( unofficial ). GDocs is a for google docs viewing app for Windows Phone 7. In this version the app does not support editing of the files but acts as a viewer. The app is free for a limited time so head over and download this ASAP.
GDocs is a simple client for Google docs for windows phone. Currently it supports:
* Viewing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings and forms.
* Offline (no internet needed) viewing once downloaded.

SkyMap provides interactive sky maps for any time, viewpoint and location on Earth right on your Windows Phone 7. It shows the different names, coordinates, magnitude, astronomical rise and set times plus additional information for over 110000 stars, messier objects, planets, sun and the moon. The developer has informed us it is the first sky map application on windows phone 7 using over 100000 skyobjects.

SkyMap has a full set of features in order to help both casual stargazers and amateur astronomers to explore and locate the objects in the sky:

Amber Central is new app from Dcube apps. Amber Central provides feeds active AMBER Alerts from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, you might be able to help an abducted or missing child come home safely. Please not that it does not currently actively notify the user when a new AMBER Alert is issued , but the developer is planning to add a Live Tile feature soon.

Amber Central for the Windows Phone 7 is designed to help in the search for, and safe recovery of missing children.
It includes:
- A real-time feed of active AMBER Alerts from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) including some information about the victim, when and where they were reported missing, and the type of alert.
- A listing of missing children from NCMEC organized by the states from where they are missing.
- A listing of missing children from NCMEC reported missing in proximity to your current location.
- The ability to share the active AMBER Alerts via Twitter, facebook, Email, and SMS messages.
If a user has information about a case or has seen one of the missing children, they can press a button and automatically call NCMEC’s toll-free 24-hour hotline 1-800-THE-LOST (800-843-5678), or contact the local authority in charge of the missing child case.
In an interview to Bloomberg, Microsoft Senior Product Manager Greg Sullivan has stated that Customer Satisfaction stands at 93% and brand awareness has jumped to 66%.
The sales will follow
As he rightly says, for a new OS, the yardstick cannot necessarily be sales. Successful products get built over time through superior customer satisfaction and enhanced product offering. In a space such as mobile phones, its often times customers who play the role of evangelists and sales persons to the market. Towards that, Microsoft seems to be progressing in the right direction – sales will be an after-effect pretty soon.
With the WP7 marketplace growing by leaps and bounds, it has hit yet another milestone with 7000 apps being clocked. WPCentral reports on how the trend has been pretty regular.
