One thing that I noticed was that the app allows you to stream video from within the app, given most of the video content on Channel9 is played via silverlight player the developer must have taken advantage of this.

Call-WP7
For me the top priority on a smartphone has to be email, but back in the days making a phone call used to be the most important any only function on mobile phones and guess what you can make phone calls on WP7 along with
email,
browsing,
take photos, xBox games and so on.
You have a few ways to place a call on Windows Phone 7. If you have pined a contact on your start screen clicking on it will let you call that contact. One could also use the dial pad, but ( in this build, we are not sure if this will change in the launch version ) the auto complete feature doesn’t work, we are not sure if the quick dial ( press an hold a number to call a predefined number ) feature is implemented . Good old address book search works too ( if you are a famous person on Facebook or if your MafiaWars buddies are in your Facebook friends list , you will have a hard time finding the person you are looking for :) ). While on a call, you get a handy notification at the top of the screen that lets you access call functions at any time. Unlike other smartphone operating systems, tapping on the call-in-progress notification brings up an overlay, and not the actual phone application, making it easy to turn on speakerphone, mute the call, and so on.
So what is so special about making calls on WP7 ? check out the video

LG E900 1.3Ghz Processor
Remember the blurry LG E900 a.k.a LG Optimus 7, now we have got some more video of the device this, don’t expect HD quality on this but its better than the previous video we have seen. According to Android.com.pl ( dont ask us why an Android site is interested in WP7 ) the specs include
- a 3.7 inch capacitive screen using TFT LCD technology
- powered by QSD8650
A snapdragon Processor ( apparently it is a 1.3GHz Processor )
- light and proximity sensor
- input miniUSB
- 3.5mm input jack
Looks like the Processor is a QSD8650 and not a QSD8650A ( Google Translate adds an A at the end for some reason, Big Translate does not – according to the our friend DavidK from MobilityDigest

MetroLock-windows-mobile
Our good friend Jaxbot ( the dude who gave us the WP7 Homescreen for windows mobile ) was hard at work and have released a new WP7 related app for windows mobile. Windows Phone 7 Lock Screen is made for WVGA devices like the HD2. This app smoothly slides down over the currently displayed screen, and then you can “peek” at what’s under it. To unlock, start at the bottom of the screen and slide up. This can be pinned to your homescreen, or set as a button. You can change the background of the lockscreen by placing a file on the root of your device and naming it lockscreen_image.jpg (“\\lockscreen_image.jpg”). The file must be in WVGA resolution ( get some WVGA Wallpapers here ) and JPG format.

The world of finance is serious business ever more so in a struggling economy, and there is huge amount of money to be made ( or lost ). Whether you’ve been playing the stock market for years or are interested in getting started, you can benefit from having the latest updates and keep track of stock market values on the go with your windows mobile device. Mobile Finance by joeylicc from xda-developers is a simple stock quote application with HTC Sense Interface Style. From the looks of it the app uses the data from Yahoo finances.
