dev Newsletter WP7
In a recent Windows Phone Marketplace Developer Newsletter, Microsoft has announced that the free submission of apps on to the Windows Phone Marketplace has been increased from 5 to 100. This will allow devs to release more
free apps which seems to perform better than paid / trial app model. Free games are probably one of the most sought after apps category on Windows Phone 7, we have seen quite a few of them on BestWP7Games in the
Free Windows Phone 7 Games section
According to Microsoft :
During the past months we have been working hard to improve our overall Windows Phone Marketplace experience based on the feedback we received from you and our partners. We heard from many of you that you wanted a higher limit on the maximum number of free apps you could submit for free. We’ve heard you and are pleased to announce that we‘ve increased that limit from 5 to 100.

Windows Phone 7 Device Manager
Windows Phone Device Manager & TouchXperience are two highly anticipated Windows Phone 7 Homebrew apps and both of them are from the same developer Julien Schapman. Now he has made the beta version of these apps available for beta testers.
Windows Phone Device Manager will be compatible with all Windows Phone 7 devices and interacts with an associated Windows Phone application called TouchXperience! Windows Phone Device Manager runs on your PC while TouchXperience is a Homebrew app for Windows Phone 7. TouchXperience for Windows Phone will be a fully customizable UI adding new features to the OS, but does not replace standard UI, it comes in the form of an additional hub, where you can place widgets and create custom menus. As the previous version on Windows Mobile it will be very flexible, for example you can organize your apps in menus, or place links to anything you want (system pages or actions, applications, games, contacts, web links, maps,…). It will also include a file explorer, just like TouchXplorer but compatible with all Windows Phone 7 devices.
