There is small rumor going on about a Nokia rep hinting at a possible QWERTY Windows Phone device. At a recent Nokia event ShinyShiny reports on the customization that Nokia will bring to Windows Phone 7 like the Ovi Maps integration, she also mentions that a Nokia rep noted Nokia was targeting business users with Windows Phones, and business users want QWERTY keyboards. ( they might be reading too much in to it , but I am sure most of you will already be salivating at the idea of the slideout QWERTY Windows Phone device by Nokia .. I am :) )

Oh and expect a Blackberry-rivalling QWERTY phone in that line-up of phones out this year. Nokia have a A rep said that Nokia wanted to cater to the business market, that Windows Phone was a natural choice for the business user and that business users wanted QWERTY keyboards. I’m taking that as “yes we are releasing a QWERTY phone in our 2011 line-up”.

Did you mean “2012 line-up” by any chance? Honestly since the 8107 update brought the accuracy back to my hd7 software keyboard, I don’t think a qwerty is necessary anymore, but I know alot of people will disagree with me, including my wife. Great-looking device, though!
