Nokia have announced in their Q4 2011 quarterly reports, that they have sold over 1 million Windows Phones but have unfortunately made a net loss of $1.4 billion on gross revenue of $13 billion, Nokia are still looking towards the future.
The Finns have only been selling Windows Phones for two months, which begs the question how many handsets are sitting on shelves in stock rooms and how many of those handsets are actually in customers hands…
The Finnish handset maker is still developing the Linux based MeeGo os along side Windows Phones as seen on handsets such as the Nokia N9.
As the Nokia Momentum Map shows that most regions have got the 710 coming in Feb, Nokia are expanding rapidly and pumping loads of cash into Windows Phone advertising and TV sponsorship spots.
It would seem that Nokia are heading for a large chunk of HTC’s domination as the manufacturer of the most Windows Phones.
