Nokia was given special privileges for coming on board the Windows Phone train, they have not really been pushing the boundaries other than adding some custom tiles and ringtones which even other OEMs have provided. Now TheVerge is reporting that Nokia is pushing out a Nokia branded Windows Phone Marketplace logo. The functionalities of the marketplace stays the same its just a pretty logo on top. Now this Nokia device is running on tango a.k.a Windows Phone 7.5 refresh so we are not yet sure if other OEM’s can bring out something similar.

This move along with the recent announcement of exclusive apps like paypal and angrybirds space for Nokia devices have raised some speculations that this might be the first move towards a Nokia-branded global application store that utilizes the Windows Phone Marketplace infrastructure.
