Music on the Xbox... and other Windows devices
Xbox users should have an update to their consoles this Tuesday with the launch of Xbox Music
The music streaming service will also be rolled out to Windows 8 PCs and tablets as a built in feature starting Oct 26th. More than 30 million tracks would be streamed worldwide through this service.
Customers can either stream music with Ads for free or cough up $9.99 for an unlimited subscription. Buying music will set you back by $0.99 per song. Track scanning and matching will be possible similar to the iTunes Match product suite. This will also replace the Zune marketplace as the de-facto music destination.
Time to go switch on those Xbox consoles to get that update. Bring it on iTunes!!
