midomi
Midomi is a Windows Mobile app, which lets you hum or play a song to get the song’s title and artist name. This is the same app found on the new Samsung Omnia II, courtesy of KSTAN from MoDaCo. It only works using WiFI, but it works nonetheless.
Features:
- hum songs to identify
- play song from radio or media player to identify
- lists multiple results after database search
Warning: menu button is disabled, but recording and searching database work great. Also, keep in mind this only works over WiFi (Touch HD may be only exception).
Update Aug 10th : To enable using this via 3G, edit the following entry using a Reg Editor
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Melodis\Midomi\midomiGU IDType

I got it somehow to work over Dataconection!!!
With a Regeditor i changed:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMelodisMidomimidomiGU IDType
from 3 to 1 !!

Nice! I also used a registry editor and changed that particular key from a 3 to a 1 – works AWESOME on my HTC Touch Pro! LOVE this app for WM!!! :)
Works on my Omnia with Vodafone Live! Flat (3G Connection) “out of the box” without changing the reg-key
Works great on my htc touch pro but when i hit menu it does an error and asks to send to windows. Has anyone fix this issue? Thanks

A problem has accured with midomi.exe.
Please tell microsoft about this problem, at no cost to you. The data is used exclusively to improve product.
then i press don't send and it closes out the screen, but other than that it works fine
Just got the Omnia on Verizon and downloaded this app. Had to change the reg key from 3 to 1 to get it to use my Dial-up (3G) connection instead of Wi-Fi. Works great except for the issue mentioned by 'hotxjc' – when selecting the menu, I get an error message and the will freeze. Have to go to Task Switcher or Task Manager to end it.

I made a cab file for registry fixing.
Tested the regtweak on my htc touch diamond 2, and it's working like a charm!
