Microsoft Strikes Office 365 Deal with Catholic International Education Office
One of Windows Phone’s strongest advantages for users and businesses is its strong integration with Microsoft Office and Outlook, so of course it’s always good news for Windows Phone when Microsoft introduces existing clients to these services. Most notably Microsoft recently managed to broker a deal with the Catholic International Education Office (OIEC).
The deal which was stuck with the (OIEC) is part of a three-year deal which includes providing 4.5 million students with access to Microsoft’s Office 365 cloud e-mail and collaboration suite. The agreement’s is part of a 3-year deal which could later be expanded to include all 43 million student at the 210 000 Catholic schools in 102 countries.
This is very good news for Microsoft, because as most people know students will tell you, the products they use and become familiar with at school and work are the products they use at home for their own lives, the same is true for workers within a company. Hopefully this will help boost Microsoft’s windows phone growth rate.
What do you all think do the products you use at work and school influence your decisions you make at home?
