Picture Lab Effects
René Schulte just send us a video of what we think is a gem of a Windows Phone 7 photography app. Its no secret that Microsoft thinks that pictures play an important part on WP7 ( Picture Hub, Dedicated hardware camera button, Pocket to picture , etc all point to that ) and so I think we will see quite a few Photography WP7 apps in the Marketplace. If you love to add effects to your picture then this is one app video you wouldn’t want to miss. Pictures Lab for WP7 comes with more than 20 effects including Vintage, Tilt Shift, Auto Adjust, Sharpen, Comic, Bulge, B & W, Sepia and more and one interesting feature we noticed was that when you slide in to the effects page the app shows you live preview thumbnail of the selected picture. Once you add the desired effect your picture can be saved to the phone’s pictures hub.

If after the video you were going … aww only if it had the ability to crop the image, or add a border, etc then I have some good news for you the developer has informed us different borders / frames, zoom / crop and many more effects are coming in the new update who should go up soon. The Thumba Photo Editor comes with twice the features at half the price.
In addition, the latest version of Pictures Lab has not solved all the problems I had in use.
