List of New WP8 Features uncovered from the leaked Windows Phone 8 SDK

The guys on WPXAP got their hands on Windows Phone 8 SDK according to WMPU. It will be a goldmine of information regarding new features coming to Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 7.8. I will try and collect the list of new features in this post. If I have missed any thing please drop a comment below and I will update the post accordingly . Plz note some of these might just be rumors or false predictions. If you have dissected the leaked SDK and think one of the features mentioned here is not correct , please do let us know about it

• Peer to Peer Bluetooth connectivity – via WMPU
• Ability for 3rd party apps to add notification to lock screen – via andrewtechhelp
• 3rd Party Apps will be able to Change The Lock Screen Background ( kinda like how the artist background changes while zune is running ) – via andrewtechhelp
• new camera capability that provide additional effects and filters for cameras – via Verge
• 3D mode for Nokia Maps
• hardware-accelerated rendering support
• Direct3D is also being added to Windows Phone 8
• HTML-based phone apps are “not a supported app model in Windows Phone 8 Developer Preview

• In App purchase will come to WP8 but not on WP7.8 ( ubergizmo )
• Group Tile will be a live tile ( like the people tile ) on Windows Phone 8 ( WMPU )
• OBEX – it means you will be able to transfer file via bluetooth ( we are not yet sure what sort of limitations it will impose ) – WMPU
• Bing will including snippets of info on Deals, Buzz ( Movie ) and News, Videos, Local Events
• You will be able to Search from the lock screen
• Download Maps for offline use
• Basic Photo Editing tools like crop, rotate, fix, aspect ratio, etc will be included in the OS
• Voicemail, Email, Text or IM, Email Notification Support
• Email Dictation – WPC
