LazyTube windows Phone
Looking to revamp your YouTube viewing experience? Then we have the answer for you, LazyTube. But the developers of this app were anything but lazy with no shortage of features in a simple YouTube player.
Searches can be sorted by relevance, date and views. But there truly is one feature that stands out above other YouTube apps. You can play YouTube video underneath the lockscreen. While it may sound like a trivial feature it’s one that I’ve rather enjoyed over the last week or so. The implication of this feature that I’ve found particularly enjoyable is being able to play live videos of my favorite bands under the lock screen.
Other things that set this app apart are the way that the comments are implemented. Playing a video in portrait mode not only displays the video while it’s playing, but displays similar videos and allows you to like or dislike the video respectively. Turning your device in landscape mode displays the video in full screen, with scrolling, volume and a toggle to stretch videos to widescreen that are in full screen format.
The app is organized in a very simple and pleasing metro-style interface. Swiping to the right or left on the home screen allows you to search, most viewed videos, your subscriptions, favorites, recently played and what’s been dubbed Lazylist. Most of lazylist contains Windows Phone 7 related videos but there are a few others. It seems to be a list of videos featured by Lazytube itself.
Lazytube is a great YouTube client. Plain and simple, it’s a great alternative to the official YouTube app in the WP7 marketplace. Check out LazyTube in the marketplace and start enjoying all of the benefits Lazytube has to offer.
