Handy Weather
Most of the new devices comes with a weather application by default, but if you want more detailed analysis and information regarding the weather pattern you have to look for other alternatives. Today we are going to look @ Handy Weather from penreader.com.
Handy Weather once installed places a Today Screen plugin which displays the current weather conditions and the forecast for the next four days. The today plugin look neat and professional and the state of the weather is displayed by some nice icons the temperature is also displayed. The weather information is obtained from Intellicast ( one of the most trusted weather source )
Program Screens
Clicking on the today plugin takes you to the main application. Where the weather for the next 7 days are listed. Upon choosing a day the detailed weather screen comes up. This screen has got all the goodies relative humidity, barometric pressure, wind direction and speed.
Most of the weather applications, some of which are free has got these features so whats makes this one special ? Thats where the forecast maps : satellite, surface analysis and temperature comes in. Though this is not some thing that everyday users might require, this would be a great feature for the more adventurous type who needs to keep a close watch on the weather.

What can be improved in the next update :
- Animated live radar images and maps.
- Notifications of severe weather alerts ( I didnt find any options related to this so I am assuming this feature is not present @ the moment ).

- Satellite images for maps.
