[ Hack ] Increase Touch Pro 2′s Conference Calling Limit from the default 2

Touch Pro 2's Conference Calling Limit

Touch Pro 2's Conference Calling Limit

If you use a Touch Pro2 you must have at some point of time considered how to increase the number of Conference Calling you can have. By default only 2 are allowed, but thaks to this hack from PocketNow you can increase it. The number depends on what your carrier supports. For US T-Mobile users the limit is 6 according to pocketnow.

How to apply the hack :

  • Open your favorite Registry Editor and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\PHONE
  • Then open the key named: “MaxConferenceSize”
  • The default is ’2′ , increase it to ’6′
  • Reboot

if your provider has limited the number @ their end then it will not work

I have t-mobile and it worked for me after I powered down and restarted the phone, however it only allowed 5 conference peeps even though I selected 6.

i called sprint on yesterday and they informed me that their 3 way calling is their conference calling. I told the rep that almost every phone has 3 way and that was not conference calling. Does anyone know what software tmobile use to conduct conference calling on their phone?

I think sprint & verizon has been rip off of not having the conference button slider? This is false advertisement.

Sprint and Verizon each use CDMA and CDMA has a technical limit that permits a maximum of 3-way calling. You cannot use this hack on their systems.
