G-Trigger

G-Trigger

G-Trigger is a G-Sensor based shake detector application developed by Krupal from xda-developer. It allows to start an application by shaking your windows Mobile  in particular direction. Its in its early development phase, so if you find any bug plz let the developer know about it so he can fix em in the next version. This is make with HTC Diamond in mind so I am not sure if it will work well with non HTC devices. credits to WMPowerUser for the find.

Currently supported shaking directions:

  • Horizontally
    • Left to right
    • Right to left
  • Vertically
    • Top to bottom
    • Bottom to top
  • Front & Back
    • Front to back
    • Back to front

With  this application you can specify the program that will start when phone is forcibly moved from left to right or moved as above mentioned directions.

Further development:

  • Display shake motion detected direction like OSD
  • Add more actions like “Screen Off”, “SendKeys”, “Profile-Volume”, etc on shaking
  • Check for predefined criteria before invoking action (e.g. perform action if specified window is in foreground)
  • Add exceptions (e.g. disable service when applications like “Teeter” are running)
  • Make settings tool resolution independent

NOTE: Although running this application does not seem to make any damage, I take no responsibility for any kind of damage caused to the device or data due to this application.

Usage:

  • Transfer .cab file to any location in device.
  • Run the .cab file and install application to device storage.
  • Run the “G-Trigger” shortcut from programs.
  • Configure applications at “Shake Action” tab and click “Start” button to start the service.
  • Shake your phone and enjoy!

Suported Actions

  • Dial a number
  • Answer/Reject incoming call
  • Launch Program
  • Turn ON/OFF screen
  • Send Keys
  • Close/Minimize active window

Hi,
I tried loading the G-Trigger program, but my Touch HD throws out an error message, “This application requires a nwere version of the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device”.

I called the local HTC (leaf) agents and they told me that devices sold in South Africa have the latest versions installed. I checked the HTC.com website and they say nothing about any updates.

Please advise how I can get G-Trigger to work on my device.

TKS.

Touch HD should have, .NET 3.5 by default unless you are running a custom rom ( you can find out which version you are running http://www.saijogeorge.com/2008/11/24/delete-old-version-of-net-compact-framework-from-pocket-pc.html

Also G-Trigger should be installed to device memory and NOT storage card
