Dev Fee SLASHED!!
After our report on the dev conferences lined up, here is another shot in the arm for WP8
As folks from techrepublic report, the Windows Phone 8 SDK has been released at a MUCH reduced dev centre fee of $8. This will indeed go a long way in building more developer support for the OS – which is definitely in need of support in improving its app stable.
This $91 rebate will stand for the next 8 days though and developers should rush to take on this offer. Refunds will be affected in 30-45 days
The SDK now allows developers to use C and C++ and Microsoft is also encouraging the ability to share code between its desktop and phone platforms – though there are a few points to watch out for.
What do you think of this move? Is it something you will take advantage of? Do you think Microsoft should permanently lower their price? Let us know your thoughts.
