Lets say u need to measure the with of your bookcase but u dont have anything to measure it. well you could guess how wide it is, OR you take out your Diamond, place a creditcard in the case and take a picture of the bookcase from within DiamondRuler. Once the picture is taken, you align the creaditcard from the picture with the placeholder on your screen using the touchdisplay, the zoom buttons on the display and the NavWheel. Once u have it all aligned you lock the picture and now you can start measuring your bookcase. the diamond will calculate the distances for you. In short this app is used to measure things using your phone and a credit card.

How To Use :

  • Click on “GetImg” to take a picture of the object you want to measure with a credit card (or similar size object) in front
  • Draw the line on the object (size will appear on the bottom)
  • Click on the “top left button” to switch to “Box Move” (click again to switch back to “Line mode”) and move the box to the card (touch and move)
  • Adapt the size of the box rolling around the pad (like the Zoom in GoogleMap)

tried it on my htc p3470
works most of the time…
has some display problems occasionally,

could use an option to rotate the refrence box by 90degree.. incase the orientation of the pic is sideways…
….then again you could just reshoot again i guess :P
