Comic Reader 1.2 is a pocket pc freeware comic book reader for Windows Mobile.
Features:
- Lense Mode! click on any part of the page and it’ll show a zoomed in section of that area.
- Autosizing lense Lense will try to fit to the text, so its almost always the right size!
- Portrait/Landscape mode in Full screen
- Opens zip/cbz and rar/cbr files
- High Quality image resize. (Text is still readable even when the comic is fit to the screen!)
- Smooth scrolling. (even on large images)
- Remembers what comic and page you were on
- “Next Comic” option opens the next zip in the directory, so you don’t have to remember which one you were on
- “Manga” when changing pages, automatically starts at the right of the page
- Page list
- Recent list
- Can associate with cbz/cbr and zip/rar files
- Touch Pro features extra commands Doubletap right panel, left panel, or action button. Use the wheel to scroll.
Usage Instruction:
- double click to go full screen
- hit the action button to go to the next page
- Up:load Previous comic
- Down: Load Next Comic
- Left: Previous Page
- Right: Next Page
- click to see the lense
- Drag lense to move it
- Drag screen to make the lense go away

love it! been using this app since the previous version, the magnifier is a great improvement! thanks!
Great App. Big Improvement over 1.4. which was the last version i used. Moved the full screen icon from top left (which often blocked text) to bottom centre on the on screen controls. This is a must when using Touch HD which has no D-Pad to control pages. The only down side to the on screen controls is the need to be accurate when hitting next page.
The lense feature is good if you have a device with a low resolution screen, but not really needed if your device has a good quality screen. I hope the ability to change the hardware button mappings comes in the next version. Great App!!!!!!!!

Previously I used Picture Viewer Pro which meant you had to unarchive the jpgs. This is almost there but PVP has a zoom in and out function via a zoom slider or scroll wheel which is quite nice. Get that in there and it’ll be perfect!

aris2tle, do you know how to use file explorer? You download the .cab file, then put it somewhere on your device.
Then, go to programs, select file manager, and find the .cab file, run it and follow the instructions.
Hi,
I cant open your program, i have a windows mobile HTC Touch Diamond 2 phone which is a very new model and i want to view some CBR & CBZ comics, when i install the program it says successfully installed but the problem is when i try to run it, i keep geting this message= An unexpected error has occurred in comicReader.exe select quit and restart this program or select details for more info (none of this works) when i click on Details the message i get is =MissingMethodException This application requires a newer version of the Microsoft. NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device, WHAT THE HELL DOES ALL THIS MEAN?
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT I WOULD LOVE TO READ MY COMICS ON MY PPC.

You can check if they have an update ( http://comicreader.mobi ) .
Also It looks like the app requires a newer version of .NET Framework. Check this guide to see how to check which version of .Net you have and steps to upgrade it ( http://www.saijogeorge.com/2008/11/24/delete-old-version-of-net-compact-framework-from-pocket-pc.html )
