YouRang is an amazing little app that turns any audio from your favorite YouTube video in to a ringtone on your Windows Phone. The app is super easy to use : when you launch it you are given the option to search for a video, then you load it in tot he app. Pick the start and end point for your ringtone , you can preview it and then click on the create button and the app does its magic and give you a ringtone that you can save to your phone and set as your ringtone all from the comforts of the app. Check it out in action below
Msicc has released a new Windows Phone app, this app was developed to help children learn how to tie their shoe laces. The reason why he developed this app was a study ( liked to from the app , should you want to read it ) , which complains about the fact that 19% of the 2-5 year old know how to use smartphone apps, but only 9% know how to tie their shoes so he decided to do something about it :)
When you launch the app you are taken to the main menu here you have the option to pick a session for little kids or for older kids. When you pick one of those you are presented with an animation on how to tie the shoelace. You can pause the frames or go in to a details step by step break down of the process. The other option in here is a rhyme tab that has various rhymes that will help kids learn how to tie a shoelace. From settings you can pick one of the three available themes and ask the app to stay active and prevent going in to the lock screen.
With he power of search engines like Google and information databases like Wikipedia and IMDB it’s not often you are left empty handed when searching for something. If you are on a PC it’s quick and easy to switch between various services to find out what you are looking for but if you are on a smartphone it’s usually tedious when you have to search on various services when each of them are usually limited to its own app. Central Search acts as a central hub for all your search needs by giving you access to over 17 search providers which includes : Amazon, Answers, AOL, Bing, eBay, ESPN, Facebook, Flickr, Google, IMDb, Picasa, SoundCloud, Twitter, Webbrowser, Wikipedia, Yahoo, YouTube.
Wobbler is an app that lets you add wobbly bits to images and use the accelerometer on the phone to get some wobbly action to the image. The user can take a photo of anyone or anything using the inbuilt camera or pick an image from the library then add the circular wobbly region overlays on the photo, then click on play preview. Now shaking the phone will cause anything in the chosen regions to wobble. Safe for Work Video below to see the app in action.
Today we will be taking a look at what is new in the new version of Mehdoh one of my favorite windows phone twitter client. The update as expected keeps all the thing you love from the initial version and adds a lot of great new features. I will start off with one of the best feature ( IMHO ) Tweet Streaming : gone are the days you have to manually click refresh when you have streaming enabled tweets automatically come up on the time-line as they are posted. You have to enable this via settings and you can ask the app to by-pass the auto screen timeout so it stays on and can act as a dedicated twitter screen, see my set up below :). Just make sure you have it pugged in because it is quite power hungry.
Windows Phone did not have an official Time app .. not anymore. The recently released app lets you you can browse through the latest articles from TIME Mobile. The main page shows you their latest news articles and the featured story, there is handy thumbnail for each of em. Click on any one takes you to the full story, you can change the font size from the settings. The links in each story will take you to IE if you click on it. Using the 3 dot menu you can navigate to the next or previous article or add comments to the existing one. Other options include saving the article to the saved list or sharing via sms, email or social network.
Earlier we told you guys about ZERO and now it looks like there is another similar app that offers some more features eg : adding reminders and syncing with Google tasks. Not to be confused with Clear for the iPhone but it looks like the inspiration and design came from there .
Just like their Free Audiobooks title this FREE Books app will cost you $1.99 to get the full version but once you pay the asking price you have access to over 23,000 ebook from the public domian. The majority of the features are similar to their audio book app but what is different is the ebook reader itself .
