Nokia-USA
It doesn’t matter what country or region you’re from. Whether you own or follow Windows Phone you know Microsoft has an uphill battle to gain a legitimate mobile market share. While AT&T and WP seem to be a good fit here in the US, the US is going to be Microsoft’s toughest customer to win over and it’s not entirely Microsoft’s fault. While many countries are positively responding to an influx of new WP devices with WP slowly gaining in global market share, there is a good chance US will be the last country to reflect any WP growth and the last 3 months prove it.

Today HTC went on record letting down many hopeful people. Despite showing off their new One series, HTC announced they will hold off on producing any new WP models until Apollo is released. They did confirm there will be an HTC Titan II outside of the US for countries that have an LTE network, which is great news to see both the Nokia 900 and Titan II going international. Many of us WP owners are more than just owners of the WP platform, we are Windows Phone enthusiasts and WinPhan7′s. I know I’m not alone in my daily battle to bring a higher recognition, appreciation, and acceptance from Android and iPhone owners alike to the WP platform. Ben “The PC Guy” has turned his quest on a daily basis to do the same, into an advertisement campaign. Are you looking to help and bring a “street level” recognition and acceptance to WP? Looking for some help from Microsoft? Hidden inside the WP Marketplace, Retail Insider is an outstanding free app meant to help mobile carriers and stores better sell WP, but the developers of the app strongly encourage the rest of us to use it too! They just added 15 new countries to their support list, including Australia. I had the opportunity last week to correspond via email with one of the team members responsible for creating content for the app. They were so pleasurable, I felt it would have been a disservice if I didn’t try to bring more recognition to what it is they do and get more people involved in helping!

I reside in the US in beautiful Northern California. I am 38 years of age and gaining stride in life. I’m a loving husband, proud father of 4, and I’m sarcastic. I enjoy technology, writing, and well most importantly, I LOVE MY Windows Phone! Nothing comes before my family though. I am a hard worker, most of my time is spent in the woods. Although there is rarely a moment indoors or outside that my trusty WP isn’t in my hand or holdstered to my side!
