The same old story we have seen over and over is back again this time in the form of Amazon’s Top Rated and Best Sellers pages. When it comes to user satisfaction Windows Phone seems to be on top almost every time. The top blokes at Microsoft keeps reminding us of it from time to time. When you look at the Top Rated in Cell Phones With Service Plans on Amazon ( click ) 4 of the top 5 spots out of which the top 3 stops are Windows Phones !! HTC Titan, HTC Trophy and Samsung Focus S

AT&T Samsung Focus 1.4 Mango update is now delivering

Usually when we run a Samsung Focus 1.4 story its bad news for the owners but not today !! It looks like after a looooooong wait the Mango Update is finally coming to you guys. According to the official windows phone blog, Microsoft is sending out Windows Phone 7.5 updates to customers with Samsung Focus 1.4 phones on AT&T. The update is also being scheduled for Samsung Omnia 7 owners on Telefonica in Spain. One more reason to celebrate with your Avatar

New HTC Radar commercial in UK

A new TV ad from HTC for HTC Radar was spotted in UK, thanks to Tom Waren from WinRumors. This new ad featuring Annika Lischke, a designer/photographer shows Windows Phone’s People Hub, Photo sharing, etc,. Also the video quality is not the best that you have come across, so kindly ignore the quality.

HTC Mozart runs Android ?

HTC Mozart on the O2 Webpage

Not sure what the graphic designers at O2 were smoking when they created the above image, but they surely seem high on something ! The above image is straight from the O2 webpage listing all their devices and specs. Some Android fanboy apparently though that the Mozart runs Android and hence has the logo at the bottom.Now on one side it surely is very misleading and offensive for some, it may be. However shall someone purchase this device thinking they receive Android, it wont be surprising if they like what they get ;). Head over to the O2 Website and see it for yourself before they fix it.

Is WhatsApp available for private beta on the Windows Phone marketplace ?

That little old rumour about Whatsapp coming to Windows Phone turned out to be true and the app is finally in the marketplace BUT wait you might not be able to download it just yet .. WMPU has got a picture of the app in action and the link points us to the app in the marketplace but clicking on it throws out an error message which states that we don’t have the permission to install it a.k.a the app is in private beta.

Old share buttons

New Location

We used to use a drop down social media sharing button interface who some of you did not enjoy, so we are trying out a new location for the buttons. DONT go easy on ‘em , use ‘em as often as possible.. wont you :).

While we are doing an announcement I think I will take this opportunity to let you guys know that the next version of the 1800PocketPc + BestWP7Games app ( which has been under development for a while now ) is very close to getting done. Cris has sent me a close-to-final build of the app and it looks quite nice, looking fwd to sharing it with you all soon.

Update : had to switch it back coz the 1800PocketPC Windows Phone App seems to break with the new plugin, we will have to look at other alternatives

HTC Mazaa doesn’t like the HTC family

HTC Maza Error Message

Funny little incident with the HTC Mazaa which will probably not affect you, or maybe 0.2% of you ! It seems that the limited edition developer device doesn’t like itself being called a HTC device which is probably the reason why it doesn’t seem to recognize that it’s an HTC phone ! Poor thing.

The phone was won by a reader from Microsoft’s WPAppItUp contest. Wanting to install the HTC Flashlight app is what ended in this discovery. Clearly the problem here is that HTC along with this build of the OS isn’t being recognized by HTC’s validating process, something which needs to be fixed, but seems HTC are in no rush to address.
