Pocketnow.com has released a new widget in the the Lifestyle/Recreation category of the store. It gives you an easy access to Pocketnow posts. The widget is only accessible from the Marketplace in the US.

For the rest of us, who don’t have a shiny iPhone nor a modern phone with integrated accelerometer, but are instead forced to use a Windows Mobile Phone, there is finally a way to lightsaber-duell your arch enemies with this new hobby project of mine, which now available for the PocketPC platform. Inspired by the iPhone app “Lightsaber Unleashed” which is availlable on iTunes, this version doesn’t require an accelerometer, but instead lets you use your screen or your input keys. I think its only QVGA for now.

Requirements:
Windows Mobile 5.x and up, as well as the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5

Instructions:
After installing, you find the app in the game folder of your start menu. To turn on the saber, just touch it and it will activate. Now you can use the hardware cursor buttons on your pda/phone or the the swing- and hit buttons on your screen. You can even turn on some background music. As a bonus, the “enter” key on your device will make some laser sounds

Spoofapp.com has released a spoof app client for Windows Mobile. Its available for VGA and QVGA devices. This app has not been tested by us. Plz do let us know if this works for you.. the app is free to download but requires you to buy credits for usage.

Once installed go to menu, and click on free sign up, they will send you a pin number, then go to menu >> my account >> balance.
Go to main page and enter numbers, make sure you put a one before the area codes and select if you want your voice changed and if you want call recording.
press place call, you will hear a voice message asking you to buy more mins press one, or press two for other, PRESS TWO and your good to go

Ever wanted to make spoof calls on your Windows Mobile ? If you live in the US you might be in luck. BluffMyCall.com has put up a client for Windows Mobile. The app is free to download , but you got to buy credits to use the app. It allows you to make a free two minute calls to any phone number and allows you to put a fake number on the caller id. The free version also doesn’t not allow recording or voice change. It looks like when you sign up you get 6 free credits, then after those are going if you want to use it you must buy credits.

Pocket Coffee Mobile is a fun pocket pc software. Have your friends ever told you “cool phone, but does it makes coffee? No? A pity…”. Well, now your device will also make coffee. And not only: cappuccino, tea, milk, hot chocolate… Here is the Windows Mobile “light” version: it has no timebomb, but he coffee machine only gives two products. You can also preview the full version using the Win32 version, that is full but runs only on your PC. Its WVGA only.

Usage:
Click the display and select the product. Once the coffee machine has finished to pour coffee, click on the cup to display it alone and offer your friends a fresh cup of coffee. Then click again to come back to coffee machine. Click on “off” symbol on coffee machine to exit.

Spin The Arrow is a free pocket pc software. Remember the spin the bottle game, now you can play this on windows mobile. Should support WVGA, VGA, Square QVGA. You can click on the Spin button or drag the needle with your finger in a clockwise direction. To click the character’s image counts the quantity of shots each player have drank. Make a horizontal movement with your finger to reset the counting on the specific character.

Mobile Vikings is a relatively new mobile operator in Belgium. They offer free mobile internet and a lot of innovative features. More information on their website.

You can use this pocket pc software to easily check the status of your account on a Windows Mobile. Applications for other platforms are available as well (see this blog post for an overview).
