moBlog 2.2 – Windows Mobile blogging application

moBlog 2.2
moBlog is a mobile blogging application for Windows Mobile devices. moBlog currently supports Blogger, WordPress.com and Live Spaces. It has support for LiveJournal and MovableType/TypePad. You can use the application offline to save battery and resources. A connection is only required when you initially setup your blogging accounts and when you want to update your blog with the new content. moBlog allows you to save the blog posts locally while they are still being written and edited. Once it is published, the local copy is automatically deleted from the device in order to free up the storage space. A new feature in version 2.2 is that moBlog will retrieve your last 20 blog posts.

TouchResponse 0.3.2 – haptic feedback for your Windows Mobile device

TouchResponse 0.3.2

TouchResponse 0.3.2

Wish your device would vibrate upon screen tap, like some other devices? Well, TouchResponse, created by Snailslug, does just that. It adds what is known as haptic feedback, so you can recognize when you’ve tapped the screen easier – making it seem like you’re actually using a physical keyboard. Personally, I activated it only when the soft keyboard is displayed; but there are many options, which are all listed below.

Note: This program is a touch driver to handle the touchscreen presses and vibration. A settings program exists to configure how the vibration works.

Features:

* Global enable/disable option
* Vibrate on touch/release
* Variable duration of vibrate
* Disable during Phone Call option
* Disable when device is silent
* Disable when device is locked
* Disable when stylus is out (for devices that support this option)
* Enabled for On-Screen Keyboard only (Temporary option until full include/exclude list is incorporated)
* Settings Program->Settings->System->TouchResponse Settings
* AppToDate support

Change Log:

Version .3.2
- Option to disable vibration when device is locked
- AppToDate now supported – Download AppToDate to be informed of the latest updates
- Fixed issue when SIP Only didn’t work as expected in landscape mode
- Fixed issue when Stylus Out still resulted in vibration when that option was set.

Version .3.1

- Should properly upgrade when built into a custom rom

Version .3
- Option to vibrate on release of touch
- Option to disable vibration when stylus is out
- Option for vibration to only be enabled for on-screen keyboard
- Better auto-detection of device model/vibrate id

PocketCM Keyboard 0.23 – finger friendly Keyboard SIP for pocket pc

kbshot2kbshot4

I have always been frustated with default windows keyboard, due to its tiny size. It is hardly possible to use your finger to input data. But now with this new onscreen keyboard writing on my phone is just a breeze. PocketCM keyboard has lots of intelligent features like a visible feedback of the key currently pressed, you can imagine that your finger is on the keyboard… and now you can easily see what key is pressed. Second important thing is you can move your finger, the key will change, release it, the key will be triggered (so it’s the opposite of a physical keyboard: the actual action is when you release the key, not when you push it).

Feaures:

  • It can be used with fingers
  • It suggest word based on letter position
  • It trigger the key when your remove your finger from the screen, not when you press it.
  • It can be customized
  • It’s a standard Windows Mobile SIP, so to use it you have to select it as the input method, therefore it can be used in (almost) any application.
  • Customizable layout: as you can see the layout is “azerty” for the screenshot, by default PocketCM Keyboard comes with a QWERTY layout. Creating your own is just a question of editing a text file.
  • Accent recognition and suggestion: the keyboard know accentued letter… so for instance, the french word for summer is “été”, if I type ‘e’, ‘t’, ‘e’, the keyboard will suggest “été”. No need to go to a sub/hidden keyboard doing some accentued letters.
  • Once you get used to it, you can grab it with two hand and type with the thumb… goes pretty well.
  • vibrate on press

TouchPal 3.5 – finger friendly keyboard for windows mobile

TouchPal is an innovative software keyboard powered by T+ input technology, which significantly improves the inputting experience on touchscreen handheld devices. Typing on TouchPal is pretty easy: you just need to tap and slide by your thumb. In most cases, you only need to tap tap tap and use the auto-word perdition to input the right word. For precise input, you can slide left/right for a specfic letter, slide up for uppercase, slide down for a punctuation, or slide up and then down further for the symbol/number on top of each key. The free version does not have all the keyboard as shown in the video but it only has the T+ input method which according to me is the best. “My sentences” & “My commands” options are also missing from the free version.
