Multi Touch on Windows Mobile ?

Did you know that the HTC Touch Diamond and Pro has got some really wicked hidden features. Using an application called Nav Debug Tool by HTC, the video shows that the whole front of the device can track finger movements, and even two fingers !!!!! The one thing iphone users brag about used to the multi touch, well we are going to get it soon enough.

So far there is no know feature on the Touch Diamond/ Pro that exploits this, but once the good folks @ xda-developers get their hands on the API it wont be too long. With features like multi touch and accelerometer , HTC Touch diamond and Touch Pro should be ready to be flashed with WM7 !!

The wait for Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X1 finally over , release date in Oct

Alt-txt

Well its about time we heard some good news about the Sony Ericsson’s highly anticipated device Xperia X1. Its got a great specification and a cool new User Interface and we started hearing about the device a while back with no release date in sight.

Here is a quote from reghardware.co.uk

In a recent promotional email, retailer Expansys said that the phone’s “release date is set for week 41 (Oct 6-12)”. Expansys also said the “arc slider” handste will cost £590 ($1100/€740), SIM-free.

The launch date is still open to some interpretation, though. An Expansys spokesman told Register Hardware that although it’s received “a couple of demo units through from Sony Ericsson”, he still didn’t have a confirmed release date - despite the email.

On the plus side, the spokesman added that the arrival of demo units is a sure sign that the handset will be available to customers in the near future.

Pandora Internet Radio on Windows Mobile ?

Pandora Internet Radio

The Word on the street is, Pandora is working on an official Windows Mobile client, we dont know when the client will launch, but it is in development. Now thats Good news for US readers, coz when I tried to jump on to Pandoras website due to licensing constraints my Aussie IP was not good enough o_O, only US IP can connect to Pandora’s service.

From what I read about Pandora its a streaming internet-based radio that allows you to choose and “customize” your own listening experience. Pandora works by allowing the user to enter in a search, either for artist or song, and it will find similar tracks by varying artists with similar beats and melodies based on Pandora’s algorithm. The application works great to discover new songs or to find songs to fit the mood.
