Sorry Sony I am a big fan but seriously is that what you call a mobile device ??? The Wall Street Journal ( via PocketNow via BGR ) is reporting that Sony is working on a Playstation Phone built by Sony Ericsson ( who else would make it ? ) to compete with Windows Phone 7 Series and xBox Live Games. The WSJ is saying that phone would be be able to play Playstation games. I am guessing PS1 and 2 games. We got emulators for that on windows phone.

The iPad was a disappointment and if you are looking to get a tablet you might want to learn a bit about what Microsoft has in store for this market. Here is Microsoft’s Courier Tablet. Courier will function as a “digital journal,” and it’s designed to be seriously portable: it’s under an inch thick, weighs a little over a pound, and isn’t much bigger than a 5×7 photo when closed. Courier is built on Tegra 2 and runs on the same underlying OS as the Zune HD, Pink, and Windows Mobile 7 Series..Windows CE 6 ?? As you can see from the video the device will have a built-in camera, a headphone jack and a pen. You interact with the device by drawing and writing on the screen. Its expected to be released in Q3/Q4 2010, no info on pricing yet.

The guys from tmonews.com managed to get their hand on the pricing document for various new T-Mobile devices and this includes the HTC HD2. The Tmobile HD2 is a highly anticipated device and has some excellent built in apps like a new version of Swype Keyboard , Amazon App, Blockbuster App, etc.. but since this device comes with 5 hardware buttons , it is unlikely to get upgraded to Windows Phone 7.

T-Mobile HD2 will be priced at $199.99 after rebate. No contract? No problem. That’ll be $449.99. NO REBATE REQUIRED WITH DATA PLAN!. So will you be queueing up in front of a T-Mobile Store on the 24th of March ?

According to WMPU the HTC HD mini will arrive on April 12th and will cost £280.81 without VAT and £329.95 with VAT from devicewire.co.uk. This HVGA device will run WM6.5.3 and since i is missing the 3 mandatory buttons , it will most likely never see WM7 officially.

Some facts about HTD HD Mini :

  • You can use it as a WiFi router
  • The phone antenna is actually on the removable back cover
  • HTC designed the inside to be as beautiful on the inside as it is outside

BTW anyone know why its called the HD Mini ? whats is so HD about this device ?
